“My Pilates journey began during my career as a Physiotherapist, when I completed my first APPI Pilates training in my very first year of practice. I enjoyed combining Pilates with physiotherapy, but after taking time out to raise my children, I chose to retrain fully as a Certified Pilates Instructor.
My physiotherapy background shapes how I teach. Pilates with me is safe, inclusive and adaptable. I use a clear layering approach so that every client, at any level, can take part and work at the right intensity. Whether you want to manage back pain, improve posture, support healthy ageing, build core strength or enhance sports performance, my classes offer modifications and progressions to help you achieve lasting results.
I know the benefits of Pilates first-hand. After a serious car accident left me with ongoing back problems, Pilates became life-changing – helping me stay largely pain-free, confident to move and resilient during flare-ups. This personal experience fuels my passion to help others reduce pain, build strength and feel better in everyday life.
In every class I bring a warm welcome, careful planning and a focus on flow, balance, bone health and long-term strength. I love designing sessions that are enjoyable yet challenging.”
Professional Training and Background
These have included focused training in areas such as Pilates for runners, cyclists, osteoporosis, menopause, pelvic floor health and healthy hips, as well as small equipment, stretch therapy and therapeutic yoga.
I have also undertaken specialist courses in ante and postnatal Pilates, high intensity Pilates and dynamic Reformer work.
This breadth of training means my classes are grounded in physiotherapy knowledge, informed by the latest approaches in Pilates, and always adaptable to the needs of the people in front of me.
Whether you’re managing health concerns, returning to exercise, or looking to challenge yourself, you can feel confident that you’re in safe, experienced hands.”
I like to keep bookings personal, so rather than using an online system, all classes are arranged directly with me by email. This means I can help you find the right class, discuss your goals and make sure you feel confident before you begin. Many clients appreciate this friendly approach, especially if they are new to Pilates.
Membership is the best way to make Pilates part of your weekly routine. For £35 per month you’ll have:
A guaranteed space in a weekly mat class.
Memberships are paid by direct debit (via GoCardless), making things simple and secure.
If you’d prefer a shorter commitment, block bookings are available at £8 per class. These also guarantee your weekly mat space for the block period.
For those who need flexibility, ad hoc mat classes can be booked (where spaces are available) at £10 per class.
Reformer classes are small 1:2 sessions, booked in blocks at £20 per class, which guarantees your weekly slot.
Ad hoc Reformer sessions may be available at £25 per class.
For a completely tailored approach, one-to-one sessions (50 minutes) are available at £45.
If you are new, book in and try a class before deciding whether membership or block booking is right for you. Simply get in touch by email to confirm your first session — I’ll be happy to guide you through the options.
As part of your Emma Logan Pilates membership (just £35 per month), you’ll receive exclusive access to my on-demand Pilates class library hosted on the TeamUp portal. TeamUp is a simple, secure and user-friendly platform, making it easy to enjoy Pilates whenever it suits you — at home, while travelling or whenever your schedule allows.
Membership includes unlimited access to Emma’s exclusive on-demand Pilates library via the TeamUp portal. On sign-up Emma will provide you with login credentials.
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely.
For mat classes, grip socks or bare feet are fine.
For Reformer Pilates, grip socks are essential.
All equipment, including mats, is provided, though you’re welcome to bring your own mat if you prefer.
A water bottle is also recommended to help you stay hydrated.
Buses don’t stop right outside the studio, but convenient stops in Southmuir and Maryton make it just a short walk to The Studio (good warm-up before class). It’s an easy way to arrive and since all equipment is provided, you can simply step off the bus and join the class – no need to carry anything with you.
There is a large car park at The Studio on Logie Business Park.
Classes vary from 8 – 14 participants, depending on the class type.
High Intensity Pilates is fast paced with less time for corrections which allows for the upper limit of 14.
Reformer classes are for one or two participants.
When you book your first class, we’ll have a chat about your experience and any specific needs. If necessary or considered helpful, a one-to-one session can be arranged before you join a group.
You’ll also complete a registration form in advance, and if anything on your form suggests we should review modifications, I’ll get in touch before your class.
It’s completely normal to feel that way, but you’ll be greeted at the door and quickly feel at ease. Classes are friendly, relaxed and pressure-free — the focus is on enjoying yourself while moving in a way that feels good for you.
Arriving five minutes early is recommended to give you time to settle in.
Not at all. The Reformer was originally designed for rehabilitation and can be adapted for complete beginners through to advanced practitioners. You don’t need any prior mat Pilates experience to take part.
Because Reformer sessions are usually shared, it’s important that your partner has a similar level of experience and goals. I do my best to match clients appropriately, so movement on the waiting list may sometimes reflect this. If you’re interested in trying Reformer, please get in touch and we can discuss whether it’s the right fit for you.
The studio is purpose-built, light, airy and clean. Toilets are on site, but there are no changing rooms, so please arrive ready for class.
All equipment is provided and cleaned after use.
Block bookings and memberships are offered at a reduced rate as your weekly place is reserved, with the understanding that you may occasionally miss a class. Missed classes cannot be refunded, but if space is available in another class you are welcome to make it up there.
For ad hoc bookings or one-to-one sessions, a minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations. Without this notice, the full fee will still apply.
