terms & Conditions


Registration & Health

·      All clients must complete a registration form before attending any class or one-to-one session. This will be emailed in advance.
·      Clients must inform the instructor of any illness, injury or health condition prior to beginning a class and must also notify the instructor if their health or ability to exercise changes at any time.
·      A consultation may be required before your first class to discuss your needs and goals.
·      If you have any doubt about the suitability of Pilates for your health, you should consult your GP before participating.
During Classes
·      The Pilates programme will be tailored to a suitable level for you, with modifications offered depending on your fitness and ability.
·      You should stop immediately if you feel pain, discomfort or fatigue and inform the instructor without delay.
·      If instructions are not clear, you must ask for clarification before continuing.
·      The instructor may stop a session if they observe signs of excessive strain or fatigue.
·      If you feel any discomfort during a session or after a previous session, please inform the instructor.
·      Pilates may involve hands-on correction, and by signing the aforementioned registration form you consent to this practice.


Clothing & Equipment

·      Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely.
·      Mats and equipment are provided, although you may bring your own mat if preferred.
·      Grip socks are essential for Reformer classes, useful for mat classes, but mat classes may also be completed in bare feet.


Attendance & Punctuality

·      If you know you are likely to be late, please notify the instructor.
·      The door will remain open for five minutes at the start of the class.
·      Classes missed within a block may only be made up during the same block, subject to availability in another class.
·      Missed classes cannot be carried forward into a new block.


Cancellations & Refunds

·      Refunds are not given for unused or missed classes.
·      No refunds are given once a block has commenced.
·      For block bookings, 48 hours’ notice must be given prior to the start date to cancel.
·      For single class bookings or one-to-one sessions, 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel, otherwise the full fee is payable.
·      Memberships require one month’s notice to cancel.
·      If the instructor is unwell and a class is cancelled, clients will be notified by email as soon as possible.
·      Membership clients will receive a refund, while others will be given credit towards the next block unless a refund is specifically requested.


Communication

·      The instructor’s phone will be turned off during classes and cannot be contacted from five minutes before the start time.
·      All clients must ensure their mobiles are switched to silent during class.

Liability

·      The instructor accepts no liability for personal injury related to participation in a session if your doctor has advised against such exercise, if you fail to follow instructions on safety or technique, or if injury is caused by the negligence of another participant.
·      Clients participate at their own risk.


Confidentiality & Data
Protection

·      The instructor will always respect client confidentiality.
·      Information you provide will be used only for teaching purposes, stored securely, and treated in confidence.
·      It will not be shared with any third party without your consent, unless another Pilates instructor is covering a class.
·      Your information will be retained in line with professional, legal and insurance requirements.
